New to Kent prize still up for grabs on this species! Currently only found in the Wye Valley (Gloucs/Monmouthshire borders - not Wye in Kent). It has also been recorded as a suspected migrant in Sussex and Jersey.
A distinctive species with a more deeply hooked tip than the other Hook-tips and has an additional protrusion halfway along the forewing making almost a 'double' Hook-tip. In addition to this, it has diagnostic lilac and black markings in the hook of the wing tips.
Grade 1 — adults are generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species, but records outside documented range or flight period may require photos.
